On January 6-7, 2022, the Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) UGM held a Training of Trainers (ToT) Team Building for Learning Development Team in DSDM UGM. This event is a collaborative program between the Bureau of Psychology Coconut Management Training (CMT) and DSDM. This event aims to train participants to become outbound trainers. Training of Trainers (ToT) lasted for two days; on the first day, participants learned about the theory of outbound, then the second day was the practice of running outbound in groups. The Training of Trainers (ToT) was attended by 13 participants and held at Hall C Grha Sabha Pramana 1st floor. The Secretary of DSDM, Paminto Adhi, S. E., M.Si. had the opportunity to open the training by saying, “this training is pivotal because it helps the participants in outbound or outdoor training preparation.” In addition, it can also foster togetherness and cohesiveness so that it can produce valuable activities.
Noting the high demand from the head of the work unit in Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) for employee compliance assistance to the Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM), the employee compliance team needs to have the ability of technical and substantive competencies related to employee development. The ability to conduct inspections and/or employee data filing in the enactment of employee compliance aims to dig up information and determine the direction of employee construction. Examination Techniques and Data Filing Training for the Employee Compliance Team aims to provide mentoring services for human resources professionals.
On December 20, 2021, the Directorate of Human Resources of Universitas Gadjah Mada (DSDM UGM) held the Closing of the Educational Laboratory System (PLP) Internship Program in 2021. The PLP Dikti Internship Program is a collaboration program between the Directorate General of Higher Education and Universitas Gadjah Mada. The Internship Program was conducted for two months, from October 2 to November 29, 2021. The PLP Dikti Internship Program participants were 23 Lab Technicians from various universities in Indonesia. There are two laboratories used in this Internship Program, namely at the Laboratory of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing (FKKMK), and the Laboratory of Microbiology at the Faculty of Biology. 13 participants took internships at the FKKMK laboratory, and 10 participants took internships in the Microbiology Laboratory. The closing of the PLP Dikti Internship Program began as the Director of Human Resources, Dr. Ratminto, M.Pol.Admin. delivered the opening speech. Ratminto said that higher education must develop continually, and the academic community will always be required to always be active in responding to changes. Currently, research activities at Higher Education (PT) are crucial for the running of MBKM (Merdeka Belajar – Merdeka Campus) and the improvement of research competence at the University.
In developing human resource strategies, the preparation or what is commonly known as HCDP (Human Capital Development Plan) plays a crucial role in the ASN (State Civil Apparatus) development paradigm. Under Law No. 5 of 2014 on ASN Article 70 (1), the merit system as a management policy based on qualifications, competence, and performance fairly and reasonably without distinguishing political background, race, skin color, religion, origin, gender, marital status, age, or disability conditionsOne of the elements in a sustainable merit system development is the competence of ASN. ASN competency ensures and maintains the employees’ capabilities and meets the required qualifications to make optimal contributions to the organization. Human Resources as Human Capital are utilized as much as possible for the advancement of the organization and to care for human resources that are increasingly more full of insight and knowledge. Therefore, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbud-Ristek) developed the HCDP (Human Capital Development Plan) system to assist in the self-development of ASN.

Retirement (Purnabakti) is the final stage of the career journey of the UGM supporting staffs. Retirement is not the end of the journey of life but a time where it stops momentarily from the routine of daily office work. Then enters more essential stages of life goals, both for family and social life. Retirement is a period of change, where changing habits in life is not an easy matter. Supporting staffs should prepare mentally, emotionally, spiritually, socially in relationship patterns, activities, work, and personal finances in filling a new life after retirement. The Retirement Training aims to understand information, knowledge, and insights related to physical and psychological preparation and administration before retirement and understand retirement management so that supporting staffs’ retirement life in the future is healthy and happy.
In facing the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0, education is an indispensable capital. Lecturers have a direct influence on improving the quality of student learning. The abilities one lecturer should possess are to design the learning process, evaluate learning and carry out learning effectively. Joining PEKERTI training will improve the lecturer’s abilities. Training of Improving Skills in Instructional Techniques (PEKERTI) is a training program that may allow lecturers to improve their professional competence in carrying out functional positions, especially in the improvement of pedagogical skills.
On November 1, 2021, the Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) UGM, in collaboration with the Directorate of Information Systems and Resources (DSSDI), held a Competency-Based Selection (SKD) for the Recruitment of Permanent Non-Civil Servant Lecturer/Faculty Member of UGM in 2021. Located in the Computer Laboratory of UGM Library, UGM Permanent Lecturer Recruitment Team conducted SKD from 9.00 to 12.00 WIB. Competency-Based Selection is one of several stages in the Recruitment of Permanent Lecturer processes. Given the current condition of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Competency-Based Selection is carried out online through the Zoom Meeting and the Safe Exam Browser App. Around 407 participants are either in the country or abroad, spread within 13 countries carrying out SKD online simultaneously.
Performance management is a systematic and continuous process starting from planning, performing, monitoring and developing, reviewing/measuring, and rewarding. The purpose of Performance Management is to align organizational strategic objectives with individual performance. Therefore, all components to achieve organizational goals had been developed as The PERFORMA+ UGM application to support the implementation of Employee Performance Management within UGM, said The Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng. at the Launch and Socialization of Employee Performance Management and UGM PERFORMA+ Applications offline at the Auditorium of the UGM Faculty of Economics and Business,8th Floor Learning Center Building and online through the Zoom Meeting application and the UGM HR Directorate’s YouTube application on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
On October 4, 2021, the Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) UGM held the Opening of the Educational Laboratory System Internship Program (PLP) Dikti-UGM 2021, which was held online via the Zoom platform. The PLP DIKTI UGM Internship Program in Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) consists of 23 participants from various universities in Indonesia. The Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Assets (WRSDMA), Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Agus Kironoto gave an opening speech at the event. Bambang Agus Kironoto said that UGM had passed the qualification as one of the University Implementers of the PLP Internship Program. Two laboratories at Universitas Gadjah Mada succeeded this qualification, namely Laboratory of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, and Laboratory of Microbiology at the Faculty of Biology.
On September 24-25, 2021, UGM’s Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) held a Training of Trainer (ToT), Training in Improving Basic Skills of Instructional Techniques (PEKERTI) at Eastparc Hotel, Yogyakarta. PEKERTI ToT was held both online and offline. All the participants, who were unable to join at the Hotel, were able to join via Zoom meeting. The Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Assets (WRSDMA), Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Agus Kironoto opened the ToT event. In his speech, Bambang Agus Kironoto informed that one of the requirements of the Ministry of Education for lecturer certification is the PEKERTI Training certificate. UGM succeeded in becoming a PEKERTI Organizing College. So that currently, UGM is expected to make the best use of this opportunity to equalize perception and compile material. By doing so, PEKERTI material refers to the national curriculum.
