As a permanent employee candidate at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), pre-service or currently better known as Basic Training (Latsar), is a mandatory requirement. Latsar is the orientation of new employees and is one of the requirements for employees to be appointed as permanent employees. Latsar establishes the commitment, work ethic, character, and behaviour of education staff based on Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 67 of 2013 concerning UGM statute article 2, namely UGM vision and mission, as well as UGM Board of Trustees Regulation Number 4/SK/MWA/2015 about General Policy of Universitas Gadjah Mada 2012-2037 to provide training to achieve and complement the vision and mission of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and UGM General Policy, as well as form professional employees based on the character of UGM values for new Supporting Staff (Tendik), the Directorate of Human Resources organizing Latsar for Tendik Universitas Gadjah Mada 2023.
Latsar Tendik was attended by 217 participants from 28 work units of faculties, schools, directorates, or offices within UGM. Latsar Tendik 2023 has two batches with three days of implementation for each class. The first batch of Latsar Tendik 2023 was on March 9, 10 and 14, 2023, while the second batch was on March 15, 16 and 17, 2023. The opening of Latsar will be held simultaneously on March 8 2023, online through the Zoom Meeting application.
The resource persons at the 2023 Tendik Latsar are lecturers and practitioners at UGM, including Prof. Selo, S.T., M.T., M.Sc, Ph.D., who delivered material on the Actualization of UGM Values in Work. Prof. Dr. Setiadi, S.Sos., M.Sc. provided material on Becoming an Employee with Character and Inspiring Change. Dr. Hendry Julian Noor, S.H.,M.Kn. and Endri Heriyanto, S.H., M.Kn. delivered material regarding the Introduction to Organizational Structure and Governance of UGM. Dr. Muhamad Sulhan, S.IP., M.Sc. with Effective Communication materials and Dr. Sumaryono, M.Sc. with content Great is You. In addition, the participants also received HR Management material to Support Educational Staff careers delivered by the Director, Secretary of the Directorate, and Head of the Sub-Directorate of the Directorate of HR.
In addition to introducing materials to enrich Tendik’s knowledge of UGM, participants also received material and practice Team Building which was held at Wisdom Park on the last day of training for each batch. One of the participants stated that introducing UGM and HR basic knowledge during the 2023 Tendik Training would be beneficial for increasing a sense of loyalty and enthusiasm for work.(DSDM/Rista)
