The Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) recently organized a webinar titled “Emotional and Spiritual Motivation: Boosting Spirits and Breaking Limits.” The event, held on Friday (15/3), attracted 920 participants, including lecturers and educational staff from across the UGM community.
In his opening address, Prof. Suadi, S.Pi., M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., Director of Human Resources, expressed, “This webinar explores a compelling topic centered around building and igniting our spirits, perhaps even exceeding our own expectations. Through this initiative, we aim to enhance motivation in our professional endeavors.”
The webinar featured Nofel Windo, S.Si., M.M., CEO of PT. Nofel Aksi Bangun Nusantara (NTC), as the resource person. During his presentation, Nofel emphasized the challenges faced by UGM in the current era, urging all members of the academic community to adapt rapidly and effectively to change. He underscored the importance of competence and positive energy in achieving optimal performance, noting that continual improvement in competence and energy levels is essential. Nofel discussed strategies for achieving work-life balance (WLB), advising participants to acknowledge that there is no ‘perfect’ WLB, organize work hours using to-do lists, prioritize tasks, minimize distractions, allocate time for personal and family matters, and seek assistance when needed. Finally, Nofel praised UGM as an outstanding institution, commending its employees and academic community for their exceptional qualities.
The webinar proceeded smoothly, with participants demonstrating enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the session. The event proved to be an insightful and motivating experience for all involved, reaffirming UGM’s commitment to fostering personal and professional development within its community.
