On January 6-7, 2022, the Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) UGM held a Training of Trainers (ToT) Team Building for Learning Development Team in DSDM UGM. This event is a collaborative program between the Bureau of Psychology Coconut Management Training (CMT) and DSDM. This event aims to train participants to become outbound trainers. Training of Trainers (ToT) lasted for two days; on the first day, participants learned about the theory of outbound, then the second day was the practice of running outbound in groups. The Training of Trainers (ToT) was attended by 13 participants and held at Hall C Grha Sabha Pramana 1st floor. The Secretary of DSDM, Paminto Adhi, S. E., M.Si. had the opportunity to open the training by saying, “this training is pivotal because it helps the participants in outbound or outdoor training preparation.” In addition, it can also foster togetherness and cohesiveness so that it can produce valuable activities.
The speaker on the first day of training was Ayodya Narutama, S.Psi., he is a psychology consultant from the CMT bureau. He presented the history of outbound development. He also conveyed the stages in designing outbound, namely by analyzing activities by paying attention to background, goals, participants, places, and time. At the end of the first day, participants were divided into three groups and given the task of putting together an outbound scenario. Participants can develop scenario ideas with the help of the prop materials provided by the facilitator.
On the second day, training continues with outbound practice. The participants were put into three groups, trying to initiate outbound with the game and reflection at the end of the session. This activity is engaging, compact, and smooth. It was proven that participants were very passionate about doing outbound practices, and at the evaluation session, each group received an excellent appreciation from the speaker. Alongside participating in this training, participants can lead, prepare, and organize outbound with beneficial and exciting games. Therefore it would be beneficial for Gadjah Mada University.
