Expert-Led Sessions Combining Theory and Practice
The training featured two prominent instructors from the Vocational School’s Diploma Program in Internet Engineering Technology: Dr. Ronald Adrian, S.T., M.Eng. and Muhammad Fakhrurrifqi, S.Kom., M.Cs. The program was structured to provide a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice.
- Day 1: Online Theory Session
The first day focused on foundational concepts of intermediate-level Excel functions, including advanced formulas, data visualization techniques, and data validation tools. Participants gained insights into the theoretical frameworks necessary to utilize Excel as a powerful tool for efficient data handling. - Days 2 and 3: In-Person Practical Training
Practical sessions were conducted in the Computer Laboratory of the Department of Economics and Business (DEB) at the Vocational School. These sessions allowed participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge to real-world scenarios, including creating dynamic charts, pivot tables, and automated workflows. The hands-on experience was tailored to address the specific challenges faced by staff in their daily roles, fostering immediate applicability of the skills learned.
Empowering Staff with Relevant and Practical Skills
The training focused on enabling staff to master intermediate Excel functionalities, equipping them to handle complex datasets, generate actionable insights, and streamline repetitive tasks. By integrating these skills into their daily workflows, participants can contribute more effectively to the university’s broader goals of operational excellence and data-driven decision-making.
Participants expressed high levels of satisfaction with the training, particularly praising the practical orientation of the sessions.
