Yogyakarta, September 2024 – In an effort to cultivate a more meaningful work culture with a focus on emotional and spiritual intelligence, the Human Resources Directorate (DSDM) of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) successfully held the Webinar “Emotional and Spiritual Motivation: Boost The Spirit, Break The Limit by Novety Training & Consulting” on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM WIB. This engaging event aimed to support the development of stress management skills, improve interpersonal capabilities, and enhance self-motivation among UGM’s Supporting Staff (Tendik).

A Holistic Approach to Personal Growth

The webinar was conducted in collaboration with Novety Training & Consulting, bringing in Mr. Nofel Windo, S.Si., M.M., a distinguished expert in emotional and spiritual well-being, as the guest speaker. During the session, Mr. Windo guided participants in exploring their personal potential through an emotional and spiritual lens, emphasizing the importance of balancing mental resilience with emotional intelligence. The webinar aimed to help participants enhance the quality of their interactions in the workplace while also equipping them with strategies to approach conflicts in a constructive and positive manner.

Fostering a Positive Work Environment and Well-Being

The primary objective of this webinar was to empower UGM’s supporting staff with tools for managing stress, strengthening interpersonal relationships, and boosting their intrinsic motivation. These skills are essential not only for personal growth but also for fostering a collaborative and harmonious work environment. The insights shared during the session were designed to encourage participants to align their professional lives with deeper emotional and spiritual understanding, contributing to both personal and organizational well-being.

Evaluation and Impact on Staff Engagement

Following the webinar, participants were invited to provide feedback through an evaluation report, aimed at assessing their response to the material, the quality of the speaker, and the overall experience, including supporting facilities for the webinar. The results of this evaluation will offer valuable insights into the effectiveness of the program in improving staff morale and emotional well-being at UGM. The feedback will also help refine future initiatives aimed at enhancing the work culture and support systems for UGM’s staff.

Strengthening UGM’s Commitment to Holistic Development

With a strong commitment to advancing the overall development of its staff, UGM continues to offer programs that integrate both professional skills and emotional intelligence. This webinar is one of many initiatives designed to ensure that UGM’s supporting staff are well-equipped to thrive in their roles, both personally and professionally. By focusing on emotional and spiritual motivation, UGM aims to foster a positive, productive, and resilient workforce, contributing to the university’s mission to be a leading institution in education and research.
