Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Launches Comprehensive Training Program
In an effort to fortify its human resources and uphold the highest standards of academic excellence, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has commenced its Onboarding Training for the Permanent Staff Member of 2024. This program aims to provide comprehensive orientation and professional development for new staff members.
The training, a mandatory component for Permanent Staff Member, is designed to acquaint participants with UGM’s organizational values, core competencies, and service benchmarks. Compliance with the training is stipulated in Rector Regulation No. 11 of 2023, reaffirming UGM’s commitment to nurturing a highly skilled and ethically driven employees.
Under the directive of UGM’s Rector, Prof. dr. Ova Emilia, M.Med.Ed., Sp.OG., Ph.D., the inaugural ceremony, held on Thursday, March 14th. Prof. Ova Emilia emphasized the strategic importance of the training in aligning with UGM’s digital transformation agenda, emphasizing the institution’s dedication to fostering lifelong learning among its employees.
The training, spanning from March 14th to May 3rd, 2024, saw the active participation of 526 individuals from 17 Faculties/Schools and 25 Units across UGM’s diverse academic landscape. Through a blend of classical and non-classical methodologies, including e-learning modules via the eLOK platform, synchronous engagements utilizing the Zoom application, and outdoor team-building activities, participants were provided with a holistic learning experience.
Distinguished speakers, including Dr. Rr. Siti Murtiningsih, S.S., M.Hum, Dr. Heri Santoso, S.S., M.Hum, and Wawan Mas’udi, S.IP., MPA, Ph.D., delivered insightful presentations on various aspects of UGM’s ethos and the professional responsibilities of its staff. Concurrently, participants were tasked with group assignments and presentations, fostering collaborative learning and knowledge exchange.
The successful implementation of this Onboarding Training underscores UGM’s unwavering commitment to excellence in education and human capital development. As UGM continues to lead in academic innovation and scholarship, initiatives such as these reinforce its position as a premier institution of higher learning in Indonesia and beyond.
