In an effort to fortify its human resources and uphold the highest standards of academic excellence, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has commenced its Onboarding Training for the Permanent Staff Member of 2024. This program aims to provide comprehensive orientation and professional development for new staff members.
Continuous development of human resources is a key factor in achieving a sustainable competitive advantage for any organization. Desired human resources are those possessing qualifications, competencies, and performances that align with the organization’s goals. Thus, there arises a necessity for a competency development program tailored for employees, which can be executed through various means, with training being a prominent one. The Directorate of Human Resources has undertaken several training initiatives encompassing leadership development, functional training, technical acumen, alongside ancillary programs such as socialization, webinars, and workshops. To ensure the congruence of organized training programs with organizational objectives, effectiveness, and efficiency, The Training Needs Analysis Workshop of 2024 was convened on Friday, January 26th, at Multimedia Room 1, North Wing, UGM Central Office, 3rd floor. Leaders from all Units within the UGM graced this occasion. The proceedings commenced with an address by the Director of Human Resources, Prof. Suadi, S.Pi., M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., who articulated, “This morning’s assembly seeks to delineate the training needs for both faculty and staff, identify training priorities to be executed by the Directorate of Human Resources, and ascertain the training endeavors to be endorsed within each work unit.”

From November 30th to December 1st, 2023, the training marked its inauguration with the participation of the first batch at the 5th Floor Auditorium, UGM Postgraduate School. Tendik attending were entrusted with duties related to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Administration, serving as representatives from various Faculties/Schools across the university.

The Directorate of Human Resources at Gadjah Mada University organized a two-day event, the Training of Emcee and Protocol, held at the University Club Hotel in Bulaksumur Yogyakarta on September 14th and 15th, 2023. The event was a huge success, with 75 participants from various Faculties/Schools, the UGM Head Office, and several external attendees from other universities.
